L&L employs a range of methods to achieve a spotless finish. Read below about our methods and when we are most likely to use them!

 

• WATER FED POLE: Water-fed poles use filtered water from a "Xero Pure" Filtration system and soft brushes to loosen dirt and grime, then rinse it away. Once the window, frame, and sill are clean and rinsed, the filtered water dries clear, leaving a spotless result with no water stains. - WFP is only used on the exterior of homes and is often paired with a 30ft extendable pole to reach the highest of windows without the need for a ladder!

 

• SQUEEGEE AND MOP: L&L technicians use microfiber scrubbers known as "Mops" to scrub down windows and frames with L&L's window cleaning solution to loosen dirt and grime. Once the window is mopped, Squeegees are used to wipe away water and leave a clear window. Frames and sills are then dried and cleaned using microfiber towels. - Squeegee and Mop is the only method we use to clean the inside of windows. We occasionally use them on select windows on the exterior of homes as well.

• SCRAPER BLADE: Often, windows will have substances that are hard to remove, like paint or tree sap. If our soft brushes do not work to remove the substance, our technicians will use scratch-avoidant techniques with a sharp blade to try and remove the substance. If the substance is still stuck on the window, L&L technicians will inform the homeowner, then leave the substance as excessive attempts/force could damage the window.

• HARD WATER STAINS: If windows have not been cleaned properly for years, it can result in hard water stains on the glass. If L&L technicians encounter hard water stains, they will inform the homeowner. Then, upon approval, they will use special chemicals to treat and remove the stains. (upcharge required)

• SCREEN CLEANING: Most homes in the Twin Cities have a multitude of screens throughout the house. L&L technicians often remove these screens to clean all of the windows properly! If screen cleaning is not already included in your package, an L&L technician will often ask you throughout the cleaning process if you would like to add that to your service package. Technicians use the "Xero Screen Cleaner" to gently remove all grime and towel dry afterwards.
